and now we are three

Where has 8 months gone and can I have it back please?

May15

This morning I went in to fetch Benjamin from his night in the crib, and I was greeted by him standing up in his crib for the first time. I was amused to see his little body all upright and balancing on his tiny little feet and then gradually a little horrified that he is already standing up in there; he is getting so big so fast! If only I could have had a nickel for everytime anyone told me to enjoy every minute of Benjamin growing because it goes so fast. I just cant help wishing that we were back at day 8 instead of month 8, so that I could love every second of watching him grow all over again. He is amazing, and every second that Mark and I get to spend with him is such a blessing. He is the best thing ever!

In a very short 8 months we have gone from this:

To this:

and this:

And now this:

and this:

I can’t resist him!

(On a side note, I did notice that he is already trying to hitch his little legs up and over the side of his crib…one of these might be in his future!)

Jude–You are doing it right–making comments-taking pictures–you will be surprised that as time goes by–how much we forget about the everyday little things that happen. Now you have set a precedent–for all your children. You will have to do the same thing for them all. If not you will have kids complaining—”How come you don’t have as many pictures of us as you have for Benjamin.” I love to see all the pictures. You do such a great job. Love AN

Thanks for your reminder Judes to really really make the most of every second with these precious dumplings of ours. I love the journey that your photos depict – you look particularly gorgeous pregnant. That inflatable bath looks like such fun. x

You both are wonderful parents! I agree with Auntie Nan – your pictures & stories are amazing & I feel sometimes like I’m right there too. And such memories for Benjamin to have when he gets older & to pass on…there is nothing else more important than that of family. My kids love to hear stories of when they were younger & there are times I wish I had more pictures to back them up!

I so feel like I am there too – I have those baby calendars which I tried to squeeze everyday in there little comments no matter how simple (just read Laura’s first yr. on her birthday as I hadn’t looked at it in so long) Michael has “some” not as much in his. Do wish I wrote more. This is so wonderful how you set this up. Thankyou for sharing!
